What my books are about….

What is one question you hate to be asked? Explain.

Being put on the spot and asked about my books is one of the hardest things. You’d think, as an author, I’d have the perfect response ready—but the reality is, my mind often goes completely blank. I stumble over my words, trying to recall the very stories I poured my heart and soul into, yet in that moment, it’s as if I’ve forgotten everything I’ve ever written.

I know I’m not alone in this. So many authors experience the same thing. We can craft entire worlds, create intricate plots, and bring characters to life, but the second someone asks, *“So, what’s your book about?”*—suddenly, words escape us.

It’s ironic, really. We spend months, sometimes years, perfecting our stories, yet when faced with a simple question about them, our minds betray us. Maybe it’s the pressure, or maybe it’s because our books mean so much to us that summing them up in a few sentences feels impossible. Either way, it’s a struggle I know all too well.
